Upgrade Your Commercial Hot Water System
Enjoy HUGE energy savings with heat pump installation.
Heat pumps are the future of eco-friendly heating and cooling. They make use of the surrounding air’s inherent thermal energy, which significantly improves their eco-friendliness and efficiency.
The Victoria Energy Upgrade (VEU) program covers the cost of installing a hot water system in commercial buildings and businesses in Victoria. All of our energy-saving hot water systems are installed by certified plumbers and electricians and are backed by generous government subsidies.
Benefits
Since its inception in 2009, the VEU program has been used by more than 150,000 business premises, resulting in a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Victoria of over 75 million tonnes and average annual bill savings of $3700 for businesses.
You qualify if your property already has an electric water heater.
You’ll stop 5 to 9 tonnes of carbon emissions over the lifetime of the appliance.
You may save as much as 80% on operating expenses by upgrading to a system that has been certified for energy efficiency.
The free hot water systems are available in a variety of sizes, have been designed with Australian weather conditions in mind, and are installed by trained professionals.
LED Lights Upgrade For Your Commercial Premises
Maximise your savings with a LED lights upgrade.
If you own a business space, you have an amazing opportunity to get an LED lights upgrade fully covered by the VEU program. LED lights consume less energy and have a long life span. It’s a win-win for your wallet and the environment!
Halogen Vs LED lights – Which is Better?
Although halogen lights survive longer than incandescent ones, their maximum lifespan is still just around 2,000 hours. LED bulbs, on the other hand, have a lifespan of up to 25,000 hours, and LED tubes, up to 50,000 hours.
LED bulbs use up to 80% less power than halogen lighting during their lifetimes.
While initial investment in LED bulbs may be more, the energy savings and extended lifespan more than make up for the initial outlay.
It's important to use care while working with halogen lights since they get quite hot during usage. In contrast, LED lights are cool to touch after use.
LED bulbs are made of plastic, making them far more resilient than the glass used in halogen lamps. In fact, the glass of a hot halogen bulb can also shatter if sprayed with cold water.
Unlike halogen bulbs whose thin filaments can break, especially when placed in close proximity to moving parts like those in fans and compressors, LED bulbs don’t have a filament inside, and hence, are more durable.
Halogen bulbs are sensitive to skin oils and emit infrared light, both of which pose risks to artwork and textiles. On the contrary, LEDs also have the added virtue of not releasing any toxic chemicals or fumes into the air.
Both bulbs come in different colours and temperatures. However, LED lights are available in a considerably larger variety of colour temperatures and can even provide customisable colour temperatures, whereas halogen bulbs only offer a limited range of colour temperatures.
Commercial Solar Panels System
Commercial solar panels are proving to be a game changer for Australian business owners by significantly slashing their electricity bills. Recent data reveals that commercial solar systems can trim electricity expenses by an impressive average of up to 75%, showcasing the considerable financial advantage.
Moreover, businesses in Victoria can take advantage of various government incentives and rebates, further enhancing their savings. That said, switching to solar power is not only a smart financial choice but also an environmentally responsible one. The transition to solar power results in fewer carbon emissions and plays a pivotal role in helping businesses reduce their carbon footprint.
Additionally, businesses that adopt solar panels often serve as environmental role models within their communities, inspiring others to follow suit and further amplify the positive impact on our planet.
Commercial solar rebates in VIC
VIC government’s commercial solar rebate program provides businesses with substantial subsidies for the installation of solar systems at their commercial premises. The rebate may cover up to 50% of the total cost of a solar system, depending on the business’s location and the size of the system installed.
Small-scale installations are eligible for Small-Scale Technology Certificates (STCs), which can provide a preliminary discount of up to 50% off the total cost of installing a solar energy system. STCs are generated when a solar system of 100 kW or less is installed. Price ranges between $60,000 and $70,000 for a 99kW system.
Each certificate represents 1 MWh of solar energy. These certificates are transacted on an open market as part of a programme included in the Renewable Energy Target of the Australian government. Electricity retailers are required to acquire a certain number of certificates annually. Each year, the small-scale technology percentage determines the number of STCs that must be purchased and surrendered by electricity retailers.
